Scentsy Bars Lavender Sugar
We are going to combine two of the more popular Scentsy bars into an actual baking ingredient. Scentsy bar French Lavender and Scentsy bar Sugar. Lavender Sugar is so simple to create and can be used in any recipe as an alternative to real sugar.
This is a unique treat that is simple to make and its fun!
Lavender sugar is an excellent substitute to vanilla sugar as a topping for desserts and cakes. It is also a fantastic sweetener for tea.
If you have a ready supply of fresh lavender in your garden, making a batch of lavender sugar to give away is a neat way to show off your talents. With my Scentsy recipe, the best time to pick lavender is just when the buds are showing color, but before the flowers open. If you don’t have lavender in your garden, you can find lavender buds online with no trouble.
Place 2 tablespoons of chopped dried lavender buds or 4 tablespoons of fresh lavender buds and 1 cup of sugar or raw sugar into a glass jar or container with a tight lid and store in a warm place for a couple of weeks, shaking the mixture occasionally. The sugar will pick up the lavender scent and flavor. Sift the sugar to remove the lavender heads and store in an air tight container. This keeps very well!
If you don’t have your lavender buds chopped or crushed ahead of time, no problem. Just take the cup of sugar and the lavender and toss them in your food processor or use your coffee grinder until the lavender buds are broken up.
You can put your new lavender sugar on cakes, candies, scentsy sugar cookies, or in your tea, or anything else you can come up with. The options are limitless! The raw sugar lavender makes a great body scrub in the shower.
If you have never tried combining two Scentsy bars together, this is a great opportunity to give it a try. One cube from your Scentsy bars of Lavender with one cube of Sugar Scentsy bar, in your Scentsy plug-in warmer is a fantastic combination.
