Scentsy Vanilla Sugar
There are many reasons to make vanilla sugar other than a sweet combination for your Scentsy wickless candle warmer.
The first is a vanilla sugar recipe to put on your favorite sugar cookie, cupcake or in your coffee. Putting it on a scone will bring the flavors and textures together without overly calling attention to itself.
Making vanilla sugar is simple and inexpensive. Start by splitting a vanilla bean, scraping out the seeds, use them in a different recipe, and bury the split vanilla bean into a container of 2 cups sugar. Cover tightly and in about a week or two, the vanilla bean will have flavored the sugar with a perfumery vanilla scent.
I had never really taken the effort to appreciate the magnificent sweet-smelling flavor of sugar but I will now. Being born of economy makes it all the more pleasurable.
Another good reason to make vanilla sugar is a body scrub. We are all looking for ways to get smoother skin and rid our feet of those coarse edges. It is best used as a pre-shower or bath scrub and exfoliator.
Ingredients you will need:
• 1 cup raw sugar
• 1/2 cup sesame oil or olive oil
• 1 teaspoon vanilla essential oil
• 1 teaspoon vitamin E oil
• 1 teaspoon coconut oil
• medium size bowl
• jar with lid
Mix thoroughly the sugar, sesame oil or olive oil and coconut oil in the medium size bowl. Then add the vanilla and vitamin oil. Pour the vanilla sugar mixture into the jar. Tightly put on the lid.
The mixture will separate and the oil will rise to the top. Just mix before each use. The vitamin E oil acts as a preservative so the mixture should last up to six months or more
Just like you do with your Scentsy system, you have add-in options when making vanilla sugar body scrub.
Brown sugar adds a sweet scent, as well as an abrasive texture that assists to revitalize your skin. Add until you attain the desired texture.
Adding about a ½ cup coffee grounds to your vanilla sugar. For many reasons, coffee is wonderful, but the caffeine it contains provides an additional health benefit as a scrub. When coffee is applied to your skin, it assists to redistribute fat cells and reduce the development of cellulite.
Also, a lot of individuals put up with varicose veins as a part of life, as just a signal of getting older. With a routine coffee body scrub, you might be able to put off varicose veins or even make them disappear! The caffeine in a coffee scrub acts like a vascular restrictor, shrinking blood vessels, thus assisting to reduce varicose veins.
Now is a good time to make your own vanilla sugar by combining Scentsy Vanilla Cream with Scentsy Sugar. Adding these to your Scentsy candle warmer will release a wonderful scent of vanilla sugar through out your whole house.
